Delivery & Returns


Shop online from the comfort of your own home, then have your order picked and packed by our team at the store to have ready for you to collect in 3-5 business days. Our click & collect service is free and available at all PlaceMakers stores nationwide.

How does it work?

1. Select your products and add to cart

2. Once you have finished adding all your products to cart, click checkout

3. Select Click & Collect as your delivery method

4. Confirm you have selected the correct PlaceMakers store that you want to collect the order from

5. Then review your order details and click Pay Now to complete your order

6. You will get an email from the branch when your order is ready to collect from the store

What else do I need to know?

  • Some items may take longer to pick and pack due to size or where the item is stored. If there is a delay with your order, someone from the store will get in contact with you via the email or phone number you submitted at checkout
  • Please make sure to bring your personal photo ID and your click & collect order confirmation email with you to the store
  • Click & collect is only valid at the store that you selected when placing the order. You must collect your order from this store only.


If you don’t want to Click & Collect, we can deliver your order straight to your door so you can keep that DIY project moving.

Every product has a different delivery timeframe depending on whether we have it in stock at the store, or whether we need to order it in for you. On each product you can see how long it will take to get to you, whether it is In Stock now or available in 3-8 days.

Once you have placed your order our team will be in touch if it is a big order to arrange delivery time and note any instructions that are necessary for delivery. We’ll aim to deliver your item within 3-8 business days, however delivery to rural address may take longer.

Split deliveries

If some items in your order are available immediately and some are only available with standard shipping, you will have the option of splitting the delivery. This option will be given to you at checkout.

We’ll email you the link to track you order once we have received it from CourierPost or Pace. If you have any questions about your order, please email us on shopsupport@placemakers.co.nz


Changed your mind? That’s ok!

Non-sale items can be returned for exchange or refund within 30 days of them being delivered. Items must be unworn, unopened, or otherwise unused with all original tags/labels attached. The only exception to this is footwear – if you need a different size we are happy to replace them for you, though please keep original tags/labels attached.

Note that you’ll need to cover the cost of returning the items to us.

Sale items can only be exchanged, or credited, not refunded.

Need a replacement for a faulty item, or an item still under warranty?

Unfortunately, sometimes stuff goes wrong. If the item you receive is faulty, follow the returns process below and we’ll sort it out as soon as possible. We will replace it or provide you with a refund, and of course meet all our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act.

Warranty periods vary per item. If the item you purchased is broken and you believe it’s still under warranty, complete the return process and we can check this for you.

To make a return

Scroll to the bottom of this page and fill in the return form. The order number can be found on the Shop.PlaceMakers order confirmation you would have been emailed when your placed your order. You can find the store information on PlaceMakers Store Finder.

Our team will contact you via email to arrange the rest!

If you are shipping an item over $75, please consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance.

Please return your item to the store that you purchased it from online. You can check this on your receipt that was emailed when you placed the order.


Once we’ve received the returned item and confirmed it’s in resalable condition we will send out your new item. If you want make an exchange for a higher priced item, you can pay the difference.


Once we’ve received the returned item and confirmed it’s in resalable condition we will make a refund to the same payment method you used to order it. Refunds may take up to 30 days to show on your bank account due to bank processing times.
