Flexible Air Barrier systems (FABs) are the latest solution in flexible building wrap technology and are primarily designed to allow early close-in for your build so you can begin work on the interiors before the cladding goes on. Supplied in rolls for quick and easy installation, these versatile but robust barriers provide a cost-effective secondary line of defence for your timber framing, offering improved breathability, weather tightness and greater protection from UV exposure. The recent advances in water-resistant complex materials mean our range of flexible air barriers are far superior to traditional building papers, allowing moisture to escape whilst protecting the building envelope from the damage caused by water penetration. DriSpace DriStud Repel
DriStud Repel is a reinforced flexible wall underlay with an advanced four-layered, heavy-duty synthetic membrane designed to be vapour-permeable and water-resistant. Supplied in a distinctive dark green polypropylene with a white reverse of non-woven PET, it is an affordable whole system building wrap solution supplied with its own DriStud flashing, joining tapes and roof underlay. DriStud products are engineered for New Zealand weather conditions, so they are highly functional, durable and easy to install with fire retardant properties.

Masons UNI PLUS Flexible Air Barrier is a non-woven polypropylene, absorbent and water resistant 180 GSM triple-layered wall underlay with a central technical film. This distinctive blue flexible air barrier with a black reverse is suitable for both timber and heavy steel-framed buildings. Compatible with all cladding systems, it provides a secondary line of defence against moisture over the life of the building with its high breathability allowing vapour to pass from the interior out. An affordable alternative to rigid air barriers, the UNI PLUS Flexible Air Barrier can be purchased independently or as a whole system solution with branded tools, tapes, flashings and accessories.
